Jeff, Scott, Rad, & Kerry
Although taking its name from a record of the same title, Fair Warning is not a tribute band. From classic to modern rock, they are a professional, hard-working rock and roll band, with over twenty-five years experience playing together.
These days, you're most like to catch the band playing at That One Place in Fenton, or perhaps a benefit show. Follow the band on facebook or contact us by email.
A now a brief history of the band...
Fair Warning was first formed in 1985, while Scott, Rad, and Dan (Duck) Bartlett were attending school at South East Missouri State University. They played a few gigs at frat parties and bars around Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Jeff came down to South East in 1986. He got together with Scott, Rad and Duck and they’ve been together (and apart) for almost 20 years.
Fair Warning played all over Cape, made a T.V. appearance, and managed to stay out of jail(well most the band, anyway) while down at Southeast.
After graduation (again, most of the band, anyway). They all came home to St. Louis. Jeff joined the Adapters (some old high school friends). Scott, Rad and Duck got together with Barry Curtis and Jeff (ScrappyDog) Demars and they kept Fair Warning going for a while but eventually the band broke up.
In April of 2001 Jeff, Scott and Duck’s oldest sons were all playing on the same little league team. Rad had recently left the group he was playing in. Duck suggested we get together and practice a few times and go out and play, “ just like old times”.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
FairWarning has played regularly “again” since 2001. In 2002 Duck left the band (but he keeps resurfacing, playing congas). In stepped Kerry Lytle. He fit like a glove. They never missed a beat.
Fair Warning lives, and they are having a blast.
